This 2003 Ducati 999R is powered by a 999cc Testastretta L-twin mated to a six-speed transmission, and its carbon-fiber bodywork is finished in red with white accents on the monoposto tail section. It is equipped with Marelli electronic fuel injection, an Öhlins steering damper, adjustable Öhlins suspension, 17″ Marchesini wheels, and triple disc brakes with Brembo calipers. Modifications include a Power Commander III ECU tuning module, a Termignoni exhaust system with a dual-outlet under-tail muffler, and adjustable rear-set foot controls as well as a Sargent solo seat, a quick-release fuel-filler cap, a rear fender eliminator kit, an upgraded clutch slave cylinder, and CRG clutch and brake levers. This 999R was acquired by the seller in 2019 and is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, an authenticity plaque, a Ducati 999R motorcycle cover, an Arai helmet, Ducati riding gloves, three keys, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The Pierre Terblanche-designed bodywork is constructed of carbon fiber and is finished in red with white accent panels on the monoposto tail section. The carbon-fiber fenders, heel guards, and additional accent components contribute to the 999R’s 14-lb weight savings over standard 999 models. The 4.1-gallon fuel tank is equipped with rubber knee bolsters and sits ahead of a Sargent Performance seat, and additional details include a clear windscreen, a side stand, stacked dual headlights, and fairing-mounted mirrors with integrated turn signals. Acculign adjustable rear-set foot controls, a TWM quick-release fuel-filler cap, and a Competition Werkes rear fender eliminator kit with an integrated taillight and turn signals have been added. Close-up photos provided in the gallery show blemishes on the lower area of the fairing behind the front wheel. The pictured custom California license plate is not included in the sale.

Black-finished 17″ Marchesini Y-spoke wheels wear 120/70 front and 190/55 rear Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tires that were mounted in June 2020. Adjustable Öhlins suspension components include a 43mm inverted telescopic fork along with a piggyback-reservoir monoshock attached to the double-sided swingarm. Braking is from four-piston Brembo calipers mounted over a pair of floating drilled rotors up front along with a two-piston Brembo caliper fitted over a single drilled rotor out back. The seller states that the fork seals were replaced and the brake fluid was flushed in November 2019.

Clip-on handlebars are equipped with CRG adjustable brake and clutch levers and are secured below the upper triple clamp, which has an attachment point for the Öhlins piston-style steering damper. A central Magneti Marelli 13k-rpm tachometer is flanked by an array of indicator lights above and a multifunction digital display below, which contains readouts for speed, coolant temperature, battery voltage, and time. The digital odometer indicates 11k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were ridden by the seller.
