This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe was modified prior to the selling dealer’s 2023 acquisition by installing a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 and a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Additional work is said to include rebuilding the Positraction differential and installing a DynoTech driveshaft, exhaust headers, Magnaflow mufflers, QA1 rear coilovers, and offset trailing arms. The car is finished in Tuxedo Black over red vinyl upholstery and equipped with 15″ turbine-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, an AM radio, and concealed headlights. This C2 split-window coupe is now offered in Oregon with the removed engine and transmission and a clean Washington title.
The fiberglass body is finished in Tuxedo Black (900) and features flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance. Areas of thin paint are noted.
Turbine-style 15″ reproduction wheels are mounted with 215/65 BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial redline tires. The selling dealer reports that modifications include the following:
- Rebuilt front suspension
- Offset trailing arms
- QA1 rear coilovers
- Adjustable strut rods
- Borgeson power steering
- LS3 power steering pump
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in red vinyl. Appointments include a heater, an AM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts. Wear on the carpet is noted.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The selling dealer notes that the tachometer requires service and that gauges have been rebuilt. The five-digit odometer shows 59k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was reportedly sourced from a 2015 Camaro and fitted with a revised radiator with electric fans. A replacement fuel tank is reportedly installed. A removed engine and transmission are included in the sale and shown in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and rebuilt Positraction differential with a 4.11:1 final drive ratio, per the selling dealer. Stainless-steel headers and Magnaflow mufflers are fitted along with a DynoTech driveshaft. The frame has been powder-coated.
