British motorcycle manufacturer AJS started in 1909 and has changed hands a few times over its lifespan. It recently rode onto its own make page.

One of the world’s first automakers, Autocar got its start in 1897, but stopped making passenger cars 100 years ago. They continue to build multi-purpose commercial vehicles and military trucks today. The venerable marque now has its own page in our make library.

We now have a Lincoln Continental disambiguation page collecting all the various generations and sub-models of Continental we’ve listed. The chronology is a bit muddy, but is presented in order below.

  • Continental Mark VI (1980-1983)—this was the final generation for both full-size and four-door Continentals, and overlapped with the following generation by two model years.
  • Continental (1982-1987)—the seventh generation was a downsized bustle-back sedan built on the Fox platform.
  • Continental Mark VII (1984-1992)—the two-door variant of the Fox-based car. “Continental” was dropped from the name after 1985 and a hotter LSC (Luxury Sport Coupe) package was offered.
  • Continental (1995-2002)—BaT listings skip to the ninth generation of Continental, a Taurus-based sedan with a 4.6L DOHC V8 driving the front wheels.
